More Fall Colors for you!

I'm working on making a photo album on flickr so that you can see all the amazing colors from Charlottesville this past weekend. (P.S. The photo album will be a new/regular thing on my site so that when I'm overseas again, you can see all my photos...yippee.)

The colors are making me spectacularly happy. I love fall. I heart love fall.

My email is still being afflicted. It frustrates me.

And I need a new name for my blog up there...I'm tired of "Uber Dog Karma." Any suggestions, anyone? Something witty and appropriate? Consider it a contest of sorts. Maybe there will be a prize...

Does anyone know why God made gourds, except so that we could have funny things to look at? I mean, have YOU ever eaten a gourd? I haven't. I asked the chef here today if he's ever encountered a recipe for a gourd, and he admitted that he hasn't. So I don't know that they are for eating. So...what are gourds for?

Why I LOVE where I live!!!

Fall colors are one of my favorite things in life! I love being in Virginia in October! So happy!
Check out the "rolling hills" of the my precious little farm. Don't you wish you lived here? Ha!

no pretty wording here

***cough cough***

I'm sick. Have been since Wednesday night. Had to sit through three days of highly intense training while sick. Coughing during role plays. Coughing during the night. Coughing still. It's gross.

***cough cough***

Mr. Prez and wife left this week, and much sadness insued (is that right word?) from me and Harry. We feel lonely.

***cough cough***

Harry and I went to see the movie One Night With the King. I'd recommend you go see it. It's about Esther. Not exactly an Oscar nominee, but it made me happy as a Christian to see (1) a clean movie, (2) a movie based on a book from the Bible, (3) that someone in Hollywood figured out that there is drama in the Bible stories worthy of the big screen, (4) non-white people playing Biblical figures. I'm glad I spent the nearly $10 to see it on the big screen (we Fandango'd.)

***cough cough***

I am very mad at my email company right now. Don't expect emails from me over the next week or so, as I'm trying to figure out how to make my email work the way I want it to. I despise SPAM. And while, I'm ranting, I just want to say: I really think it's Amazon.com's fault I'm getting all the SPAM that I am. Grrr...

Ticket

I bought my ticket to leave the farm today. Such happiness! And even more happiness--the ticket cost me $5. Because I used skymiles.

In three weeks--I'm outa here! Itinerary: Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, (claire--that coffee is looking a little more real), South Carolina, France!

Excuse me while I go do the happy dance again.

I've decided to LOVE 31 (with pictures)

I wasn't thrilled about turning 31. It means I'm officially in my 30's. Which is okay and all. But I've decided I just have to embrace it. Love it. And I mean, with a birthday like I've had this time--why shouldn't love 31? Even Baskin Robbins loves 31. There must be something good about the number. So, drumroll, please...

The Top 10 Reasons Why THIS (31) Is My Favorite Birthday EVER!

10. I found out a week before my birthday that I'm moving to PARIS, FRANCE. Yippee! 9. Birthday morning coffee with friends.
8. Watching Anne of Green Gables for the first time.
7. Flowers waiting for me on my desk.
6. The Italian Festival in Churchill--yum yum good for lunch.
5. The re-enactment of Patrick Henry shouting, "Give me liberty or give me death!" at the St. John's Episcipal Church. So stinking cool.
4. Thomas Jefferson flirted with me.
3. Baltimore! (adventures possibly to come as a blogpost, the day before my birthday included the National Aquarium, the coolest Barnes and Noble ever, crashing a wedding, Edgar Allen Poe's grave, driving around the HOOD, and introducing AG to Ikea)
2. Two days in my beloved City by the Bay with friends
1. Hanging out with Whitey in CA (which included Space Mountain breaking!)

Maybe by the end of my birthday week, I'll come up with 31 reasons why I love this birthday! Ha! Anyway, Happy October!
