We left the farm after spotting the turkey and drove to "one of the most beautiful villages in France," named Gerberoy. Oh. My. Word. Beautiful. Pictures will come soon on the photoblog. So beautiful. I want to retire, grow old, and die happily in that town.
From there, we drove to another small town to eat lunch, only to stumble upon a fair. Almost all of us bought blown-glass earrings. (Made me think of you, H.Grey!) There was a stand selling Marseilles soap (a thing in France I have discovered I love), and I bought a new scent--Red Wine. Some others bought pottery. And still there was food...this is France, after all! Cheese, breads, wines, sausages. Yum.
It was an incredible, awesome, too-good-for-words, fantastic, glorious weekend. My heart is happy.
