Lip Gloss

I went to the doctor today for a check-up on how I am doing on
the new meds. He asked if I was experiencing any of the side
effects. We talked through the normal ones, and I said I was
dealing with them, but am surviving.

Then he asked, "How are your lips?" (Severely chapped lips is one
of the side effects, so this was not a random question. But definitely
the first time a man has ever asked me that!)

"They're GRRReat!" I respond in Tony-the-Tiger fashion. "I've got
great lip gloss."

"Oh?" The doctor asks. "What kind?" (Again, first time a man has
ever asked me that. And I've lived in San Francisco!)

I pull a tube of Blistex Silk & Shine out of my pocket and hand it to
him. I let him know that I also am using Mary Kaye, to which he
nods and says "mmm" in agreement. He inspects the Blistex, staring
at the tube for a good 30 seconds.

"But this is for kissing!!!" He exclaims.

I've laughed all day about that. I told him, "Yes, but it works, and it
smells and tastes good!" So how bout that? Not only is my lipgloss
doctor approved, it's highly recommended for um, puckering. :)
